Perm hosted the Mayor's Judo Cup dedicated to Children's Day

The Perm Mayor's Judo Cup, dedicated to Children's Day, was held in the Spartak sports complex. It is being held for the 24th time. The tournament annually brings together the best young athletes from all over the Perm region. More than 150 athletes took part in it. The competition is held according to the Olympic system in team competition.
The Mayor of Perm Eduard Sosnin addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
- The Judo Cup is a glorious Perm tradition. Here, young athletes fight for their first significant prize, get a chance to show what they are capable of and learn to work in a team. Judo is a beautiful and noble sport, where strength, agility and self-control of each participant are important for victory in the team competition. I wish each participant to achieve their best result today! - the Mayor of Perm noted.
According to the results of the competition, the places were distributed as follows: among boys under 13, 1st place was taken by the team of Ordzhonikidzevsky District No. 1, 2nd place was taken by the team of Kirovsky District, 3rd place was shared by the teams of Industrial District and Sverdlovsky District No. 1.
Among girls under 13, gold was taken by the team of Kirovsky District, silver by the team of Ordzhonikidzevsky District No. 1, bronze was taken by the teams of Ordzhonikidzevsky District No. 2 and Motovilikhinsky District.
The event is organized by: the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the Perm Administration, the Judo Federation of Perm Krai and the Sports School of the Olympic Reserve in Judo "Perm Kodokan".
